Be a Blessing to Others

Every day when we pray, we ask for something good to happen to our lives. We seek refuge and hope that someone will come to help lighten our burdens each day. Sometimes too we look around and see people suffering around us. We hope that someone who can help them would do something and make them less miserable. The truth is, the world can be a better place if everyone spoke less about how much the world needs to change for the better but instead did something about it.
No Need for Superpowers
We all say, “I wish I had superpowers; then I could change the world.”  But it doesn’t have to be that way. You don’t need to be bionic to help. Let’s say the superpower idea in the movies is a metaphor for your talents. We are all given a certain special trait, skill, or talent that we are really good at. This trait, talent, or skill will only have a purpose if we use it wisely to help others around us.
No Money to Help
Another excuse for not being able to help others is the idea that you can only help if you have money. Helping doesn’t always mean a huge sum of a donation to some charity. Look around you.  There is always an opportunity to help others if you just lift your hands and reach out to do so.
One Act of Kindness at a Time
You may not be able to heal those who are sick or give scholarships to orphans, but there is always something you can do.  I believe we are given chances to help others if we only open our eyes to recognize them. Just like a scene in the movie Bruce Almighty, God said, “We all can help with one act of kindness at a time.” Little actions become a habit, and it is contagious. So help an old lady across the street or open a door for someone when you get the chance and see how that makes you feel.
The Power of a Smile
Would you believe that a simple smile could be a great help or blessing to someone who badly needs it at that very moment?  People have learned to disguise their emotions and pretend that everything is fine even when it’s not. Many people are lonely, but they are afraid to reach out to others because of the fear of rejection. Offer a ready smile to people you meet. Trust me; somehow you will make someone out there happy even if it’s just for  a little while.

The Gift of Time
The best blessing you can be to someone is to be a friend who gives time to someone in trouble. Giving some time to listen to someone’s story or simply being there as a shoulder to cry on makes a whole lot of difference in someone else’s life. Imagine if you were not there?  It feels good to know you’ve comforted someone in need.
The Blessing Is You
A blessing is not just money or any material thing that people wish for. The best blessing is you sharing yourself with the world. Remember never to pass up a chance to help someone in need. No matter how simple the task is, every little act of kindness counts. And when other people see how doing good works for you, they will do the same. Imagine if all the people in the world did little acts of kindness to others. The world would be a better place for sure. So don’t pass up the chance to be a blessing to others today.

1 John 3:17-
But whoever has the world's goods, and beholds his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?

Be a Blessing : Share Your Inner Child of Positive Thinking

Sometimes we don't realize the blessings we have until we no longer have them. Appreciate all the blessings in your life, take none for granted.
Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening !  May today and everyday and every minute of your day be blessed. As the above quote says   appreciate all the blessings in your life and share  with others... when someone we love dearly is having a down day... share a blessing  with them... brighten their heart and their day ... tell them how much they mean to you. Treat every spectacle  and experience in the day as if you were still a toddler just experiencing lifes daily happenings  for the first time.   Share that same  enthusiasm with  someone else .. Turn their frown upside down  and yours too :-)

Life is not about receiving at all times; it is a combination of being thankful for what you have as blessings and sharing those blessings with others who need a little fraction of what you have.Catherine Pulsifer, Moms Wisdom

Be thankful for the small  daily happenings  that occur in your life daily  even the smallest   thing to make you smile might  bless someone else... share it with someone   who seems down.   Share your inner childs  enthusiasm    with a family member/ co-worker/ neighbor/etc.  Share your lovely smile...one act of kindness towards another  is one act of kindness in  making the world  more positive one step at a time. Release your inner child  ... treat   everything   like your first time noticing  the beauty and wonder of the butterfly... and share it ... share it.. share it... Be a blessing Help Others Up But Let Them Grow too

Bright Blessing to all!!!!! Hope your day is beginning and going fantastically. :-) Todays Blessing lesson stems from a real life experience for me;....  We need to help people  everyday  but also if  what they need help with.. we have to   help them by  letting them handle the achievement themselves but be there  if they need our guidance.   How many of us  have had the experience   of enduring a sibling  that  didnt have to do what we had to do  because  they were favored by the parents... :-(  this is really sad and  not at all good for the  one that is the favorite ... how can that one  really in  just words grow up  if the parent  doesnt let them do so.   Sometimes the best kind of love and assistance is  loving them enough to let them do it... let them grow...  but if it ever gets to be too much for them... always be there  for them.  This can be a lesson to all of us who are parents  really... never favor  one over the other so much that the one can never do any wrong  and the  other seems never to do any right. As parents... we must be like our Father in heaven... we are always there  but    let   the child   try to do the task themself.  My personal reason for this  blog today is I am 1 of 2  children... I have a sibling 6 years older than me.... he was  coddled   so much he  does not know how to even use the stove to cook himself something.. As an adult... how can this help him and them especially if God forbid the parents pass on.... :-( Teach your children and others to love and treat others all the same be it siblings   or   their children... let them know when you see they arent  in a gentle manner of course. Out of respect  I take care of my parents and  now my sibling due to my parents  . Today I urge you and beg of you   Be a Blessing  by helping others to help themselves... help them grow ... strengthen their character ... their faith... just simply themselves  by letting them try ..........   And  let them know it may seem like your being tough in a way  but   its because you love them so much .. you want to see them  simply grow up enough that they fend for themselves in the real world  and other than relying on God to get them through the day ... they really don't have to rely on anyone else but themselves... THEY   CAN   DO    IT    :-)  woo hoo and let them know when they accomplish the task how proud you are of them.  God bless you all and much much love  MWAH...... <3  , Barb Gadway

Be a Blessing: Embrace Compassion and Share it

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
― Albert Einstein

Blessings!  I hope your day/afternoon/evening is just going beautifully. I hope it is bringing you joy... love.... and peace within yourself. Smile my dear ones  God loves you and so do I. <3 Dear Albert Einstein hit the nose right on the head so to speak.. we must each day free ourselves  by showing love and compassion to others... enjoy in the beauty of all people... all creatures.... great or small..... and nature itself... what a wonderful masterpiece of miracles nature is and how blessed we are to  have it given to us as a gift. Sometimes when the day isnt going according to plan.. go out side the pity me circle... get out and about or even in your own household... go up to another and bless them with the compassion of a kind word or simple gesture.. by embracing compassion and giving it to others ... you also bless yourself.. Feel the warmth within your soul and heart... Be a Blessing: Embrace Compassion  and share it . HUGS  LOVES and BLESSINGS...... XOXO  God bless, Barb Gadway <3

Be a Blessing Encourage your Beauty Within

Good day  and many Blessings ... May today be bright and filled with sunshine and happiness for each of you... To be a blessing to someone you must first look within yourself  and find your beauty of goodness... kindness... genuine love.  When you reach that beauty within it will  flow outward from you .. Too many people  look at what they assume is beauty  on the outside of the beauty... but  what really makes a person beautiful is their generous kind soul... true  honest  to goodness beauty is within each of us if we allow it to be. The most beautiful people in the world   will never win a beauty contest that  is worldly and  emphasizes on outward only... the most beautiful  will win the ultimate  contest so to speak because they radiate God's love to others... their contest will be won  in Heaven and their eternal reward . This is genuine  honest beauty.... Be a blessing  encourage your beauty within  and always show love to others. God bless, Barb Gadway  XOXOX  <3  Loves and Hugs

Be a Blessing Sprout... Grow.... Move forward

Two seeds lay side by side in the fertile soil.

The first seed said, "I want to grow! I want to send my roots deep into the soil beneath me, and thrust my sprouts through the earth's crust above me ... I want to unfurl my tender buds like banners to announce the arrival of spring ... I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the blessing of the morning dew on my petals!"

And so she grew...

The second seed said, "Hmmmm. If I send my roots into the ground below, I don't know what I will encounter in the dark. If I push my way through the hard soil above me I may damage my delicate sprouts ... what if I let my buds open and a snail tries to eat them? And if I were to open my blossoms, a small child may pull me from the ground. No, it is much better for me to wait until it is safe."

And so she waited...

A yard hen scratching around in the early spring ground for food found the waiting seed and promptly ate it

Bright Blessings all!  I wish you the top of the morning/afternoon/evening wherever you reside. The blessing lesson for today  don't be the second seed and not move forward... be like the first seed  sprout your positive attitude thoughts and actions... do little acts of kindness each day  and your positive self will grow and develop and encase your surrounding world  with smiles... happiness... positivity  and keep it moving forward... start small with one act of kindness each day and  then add more little by little.Little by little my dear friends  we CAN and WILL  erase the negative thoughts  from ourselves and others  with more positive ones.  Be a blessing  sprout... grow.... Move Forward  .  MWAH and much love to each and all of you. many many {{{{{HUGS}}}} God bless, Barb Gadway  <3

Be a Blessing: Respect Another's Differences

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.Every day's a perfect gift of time for us to use. Hours waiting to be filled in any way we choose. Each morning brings a quiet hope that rises with the sun. Each evening brings the sweet content that comes with work well done.Bright Blessings  for a wonderful day filled with happiness  for each of you. {{{{HUGS}}}}

Todays Blessing... Respect another's differences... this is a biggie for me... I see way too many on social media sites   that  don't agree with anothers opinion and they retaliate  verbally which winds causing hurt feelings in the  other person. The world is made up of so many different  remarkable people   love them for them.... you don't have to agree with them but respect them for being them just as you would like them to respect you for who you are.Differences  in todays blessing doesnt just mean race.. religion... or  political affiliation.. it also means their  beliefs  that make them... simply who they are. Even a couple going into a long term  relationship don't always  agree with each other 100% but they love and care for that persons  differences and respect  them for who they are  just as much as they do when the other party is in total  agreement with your beliefs and philosophies.Today I urge you all to Be a Blessing... respect another  who has differences than you treat them with love and kindness not in retaliation to try to prove your point. One step by one step by doing this we can make the social media sites a more positive experience for all and little by little it will influence the world and others to be  more positive too, R-E-S-P-E-C-T  6 letters that come together  to mean a BIG  thing for todays world  ... respect one another  even if they differ from you. God bless you, I love you all  Barb Gadway <3

A poor boy was selling goods from one door to another to pay for his studies. One day he found that he had only one dime left, and he was hungry. While approaching the next house, he decided to ask for a meal.

But when a young woman has opened the door, he only dared to ask for a glass of water. She looked at him and understood, that probably the boy is hungry. So she brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it and then asked, how much did he owe her. The woman replied: „You don‘t own me anything. Mother taught us never to accept pay for a kindness“. „Then I thank you from the bottom of my heart“, – he said and felt that now is stronger not only physically, but his faith in God has grown as well. The boy‘s name was Howard Kelly.

Many year have passed. One day that woman became seriously ill. Local doctors could not help her, therefore they sent her to a big city, where her rare disease would be studied by specialists. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he entered her room in the hospital, he immediately recognized the woman, that showed kindness to him, when he was poor. The doctor was determined to do his best to help her recover from her disease.

The stuggle was long, but together they managed to overcome her illness. After some time the woman received a bill for her treatment. She was worried that the amount to pay would be so significant, that it would take the rest of her life to pay for it. Finally, when the woman looked at the bill, she noticed words that were written on the side of the bill. The words were: „Paid in full with a glass of milk“.

Be a Blessing: Show Hospitality to Others

Greetings!  I hope and pray that your day is truly beginning beautifully. Todays words of encouragement  show Hospitality to others. So often in todays world  it seems like simple acts of hospitality went out with the dinosaurs {so to speak}  Hospitality is something we should  practice daily. Treat everyone  regardless of color, religion, political affiliation as if they were your  immediate family... as if they live in your same house or apartment. Showing Hospitality is one of the purest forms  I believe of a way to show unconditional love.  here is a gem i found on google search   on ways you can show Hospitality outside the box  . Enjoy and feel free to get out there and show  Hospitality to others in the ways listed or add some of your own... there is never a wrong  way in showing kindness to others.

Hospitality means primarily the creation of free space where the stranger can enter and become a friend instead of an enemy. Hospitality is not to change people, but to offer them space where change can take place. It is not to bring men and women over to our side, but to offer freedom not disturbed by dividing lines.”
